Everton have added another three points to their tally with another dramatic ending on Saturday against Crystal Palace.

It has been quite the month for David Moyes who has been able to transform this Everton side he has inherited.

Three massive points have taken the Toffees 13 points clear of the relegation zone and provisionally above Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Carlos Alcaraz scored the winner for Everton on his first start since signing on deadline day.

But he was just one of the real standout performers in south London against the Eagles who Everton have drawn level on points with.

James Tarkowski was the hero on Wednesday night in the Merseyside Derby, but there was one Everton player who really impressed him against Palace.

James Tarkowski wowed by Everton striker Beto vs Crystal Palace

Beto has really impressed Everton fans since replacing the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin over recent weeks.

The Portuguese striker has now netted four goals in his last three Premier League games.

And speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Tarkowski admitted he has been blown away by the 26-year-old’s work rate in the game against Palace.

“Beto has been outstanding, he’s run himself into the ground in midweek and today. He’s been holding the ball up, running the channels,” said the defender.

“Since the manager has come in, we’ve definitely improved. I don’t think we played well today, but we were resilient. We’re still working to get better, but winning and scoring goals brings confidence to the team.”

Beto has enjoyed working under Moyes with the manager providing the striker a fresh lease of life on Merseyside.

It has been a whirlwind of a last couple of months for the striker, but he has come out on top against the adversity.

Beto may have just replaced Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s Everton future remains uncertain with his contract set to expire in the summer.

However, his future away from Goodison Park may just have taken another step closer with Beto solidifying himself as the starter.

Beto wanted to join Torino at the start of the winter transfer window, but injury issues at the club have kept him on Merseyside.

Sometimes things work out in a certain way at a certain time, and it looks to be the case for Beto at Everton with the fresh opportunity he has been handed.
