Everton have a number of players set to run out of contract by the end of the season.

The January transfer window did not provide a great deal for David Moyes to get excited about ahead of the remaining months in the season.

With only Carlos Alcaraz coming through the doors, Everton are going to have to manage their squad carefully given their injury issues.

The summer transfer window could provide Everton fans with more to get excited about given there are some big contract decisions needing to be made.

Everton’s new owners are attempting to tie down some of those players, though.

Speaking to Everton News, TBR Football’s Chief Transfer Correspondent Graeme Bailey has provided an insight as to who the club are keen to keep around.

Everton keen to hand Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Idrissa Gueye new contracts

Dominic Calvert-Lewin may be out through injury, but the early signs of the striker playing under Moyes were promising.

The 28-year-old scored for the first time since September in Moyes’ second game back on Merseyside.

With the window now out of the way, Bailey has shared his information on the contract situations developing at Goodison.

“Dominic Calvert-Lewin – they want to keep, but I would not rule out Idrissa Gueye or Abdoulaye Doucoure, I think the former is most likely to stay,” said Bailey.

Everton fans want to see Idrissa Gana Gueye’s contract extended beyond the summer following his fine displays in the middle.

With Orel Mangala missing the rest of the season through injury, Gueye’s importance has become even more apparent to the Toffees.

Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young expected to leave Everton

Ashley Young has impressed for Everton this season at right-back, but Moyes has replaced him with Jake O’Brien.

The Ireland international has barely put a foot wrong since being handed an opportunity by the 61-year-old in the starting XI.

Seamus Coleman admitted he may leave Everton at the end of the season with his contract also set to expire.

And Bailey believes Michael Keane could well be set to join them out of the door.

“I don’t think Ashley Young, Seamus Coleman will be back next season. And I’m not convinced Michael Keane will either to this point,” he added.
