Everton have made big strides in recent weeks under David Moyes following a shocking start to the season under Sean Dyche.
The Scot made a grand return to Goodison Park last month and is tasked with guiding the club to Premier League safety.
Dyche left Everton after telling The Friedkin Group he couldn’t take Everton any further, which forced the new owners’ hands.
Initially, they were prepared to stick by Dyche. But that admission essentially meant it was the end of the line for him.
David Moyes came in and has had a fantastic start.
He lost his first game against Aston Villa, although there was an improved performance. But ultimately, he barely had any time to work with his new players after being appointed.
Following that defeat though, Moyes has now won three games in a row – and Pat Nevin has been left stunned by his start.
Pat Nevin believes David Moyes could keep Everton up with ease

As things currently stand, Everton are nine points clear of the relegation zone.
Everton had taken just 17 points from 19 games under Dyche and were one point above the drop at the time of his departure after the 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.
Fans were extremely worried at that point and many felt sure a relegation dogfight was on the cards, with the narrative being that Dyche would be sticking around.
But Moyes has come in and had a huge impact, getting Everton into a position Pat Nevin didn’t think was even possible.
The former Everton striker said (via BBC Sport): “There is a comfortable nine-point cushion from the drop and I’d say three more wins from the last 14 games will be enough to escape relegation.
“I always thought they would stay up, but until now I never thought they would do it with ease. Well done David Moyes, because of you, the grand old lady that is Goodison Park, should get the send-off she deserves in May.”

Moyes has had transformative impact – but Everton still have work to do
Everton are in a healthy position at the moment, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
Fans will certainly not be thinking about safety until it’s mathematically confirmed.
Nine more points on the board may well actually be enough to stay up, as Nevin suggests. That would take Everton up to 35 points. The last time a team went down with 35 points was Burnley in the 2021/22 season.

| 20 | 24 | 2 | 3 | 19 | 18 | 54 | -36 | 9 |
But fans will obviously hope for – and expect – a much bigger final points tally and, under Moyes, Everton do look capable of pushing comfortably past 40.
We will see how the coming months unfold and hopefully, new signing Carlos Alcaraz – who Moyes could use as a number 10 – can improve the team further.
