Peter Reid has not minced his words following the recent verdict against Everton in their compensation hearing with Burnley.
Everton have found themselves on the wrong side of the Premier League once again just years on from their points deduction controversy.
This time around, Everton have been ordered to pay Burnley £40m in compensation following their PSR breaches from that very same time period.
How are we being punished again by the Premier League? 😡

Peter Reid hits out at Premier League over Everton verdict
The Friedkins have appointed a new law firm to lead Everton’s appeal against the recent ruling to pay Burnley in the region of £40m.
Taking to social media platform X, Reid did not hold back with his thoughts on Everton’s latest punishment.
“Everton have already been punished for this PSR breach, and now we face another hit based on “models and hypotheticals”,” he said.

“What?! That’s just wrong and totally unfair, especially when compared to how other clubs have been treated.”
Regardless of anything else going on in the Premier League, this verdict would have been met with frustration from those on Merseyside.
However, every club in England is still waiting on the result of Manchester City’s 115 charges.
This has been going on for years and a verdict now feels long overdue; yet the Premier League waste no time in bringing the hammer down on Everton.
Everton will not be heavily affected by the £40m ruling, with the Friedkins prepared to pay the bill if needed.
The £40m will also not be used against Everton’s financial records in the new SCR regulations.
Regardless of all of this, there is clearly a sense of injustice on Merseyside and the Premier League seemingly making another example out of the Toffees for something they have already been punished for.
