Rangers star Hamza Igamane has just made his stance clear on leaving amid interest from Everton and Tottenham

Everton were pretty quiet in the January transfer window.

The Toffees’ only addition was Carlos Alcaraz, who joined on an initial loan deal from Brazilian outfit Flamengo.

David Moyes was also keen to sign a striker, however, due to PSR restrictions, the club were limited in what they could do.

Though, come the summer, Everton are expected to have a much bigger budget at their disposal with PSR concerns lifted.

That could see them reignite their interest in Rangers striker Hamza Igamane, who’s enjoying a sensational breakout season in British football.

Everton were showing a serious interest in Igamane just before the winter window slammed shut but ultimately, his £25m price tag blocked a move.

With that said, Igamane has now come out and clarified his stance on leaving Ibrox amid interest from Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Hamza Igamane happy at Rangers despite Everton and Tottenham interest

Speaking to Onze Mondial, Igamane has insisted that he’s really happy at Rangers and in Scotland.

“I am happy in Scotland,” the Moroccan forward said.

“I spend a lot of time at home outside of training and matches. I have everything I need, I lack nothing. I have to thank the Rangers management for putting me in such conditions.

“I just have to concentrate on football and my performances on the pitch. I don’t necessarily feel a change of scenery compared to Morocco, because the supporters give me a lot of love. I want to thank my advisors, VV Consulting, for the work accomplished, for their support and their professionalism.

“They offered me the opportunity to sign here, in Scotland, in an environment that suits me perfectly. Rangers is a club with a huge history. Thank God, I scored quite a few goals right from the start and generally had a successful start in Europe. I am very happy about it.”

Everton may find it hard to get Igamane out of Rangers

With Igamane settled in Scotland and Rangers desperate to retain their £25m asset, it seems Everton will find it incredibly difficult to sign him this summer.

The Toffees would have to make Igamane Scottish football’s record sale, eclipsing the £24m fee Celtic sold Matt O’Riley for.

So, evidently, there are a lot of hurdles to overcome and it may be too complicated of a deal to complete, with perhaps other striking targets more attainable.
