The only reason why Everton would sack Sean Dyche has now been given

Everton are facing yet another relegation battle after their torrid start to the Premier League campaign.

Sean Dyche’s men have lacked quality going forward and the football is becoming really turgid for fans to watch.

Two wins in 11 games is undoubtedly relegation form so it’s little surprise the Friedkin group aren’t happy with the current situation at Everton.

In fact, a section of the Everton fanbase want Dyche sacked and have called for the club to appoint Brentford’s Thomas Frank.

It remains to be seen if Dyche remains in post during the international break but BBC reporter Phil McNulty has now shared his thoughts on the Everton boss’ future.

BBC jounalist gives verdict on Sean Dyche’s Everton future

During a fan question and answer session, well-respected BBC reporter Phil McNulty issued his honest verdict on Dyche’s future at Goodison Park.

“I do not think Everton, given that a new ownership is in the process of being confirmed, will consider changing managers unless it really becomes a dire emergency,” McNulty said.

“I am sorry to say this to you, but ambitions this season must be limited to staying up before going into the new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock, which offers the opportunity of a fresh start and re-set under American billionaire Dan Friedkin after years of crisis and chaos.”

He continued: “I would, though, be very surprised if Sean Dyche takes Everton into that new stadium. His contract expires at the end of the season and history shows new owners nearly always want their own managers. I do not expect Friedkin to be any different.”

Friedkin Group likely to wait until next summer to change manager

Everton News exclusively reported that the Friedkin Group accept they will have to wait until next summer to find Dyche’s successor.

The owners recognise that finding a long-term manager will be really challenging mid-season and it seems unless things get worse, they’re prepared to stick with the former Burnley boss, who has steered them clear of relegation the previous two campaigns.

If a change is to be made, though, it’s expected to be given to former manager David Moyes until the end of the season.
