Everton’s summer transfer window is slowly ticking along with additions gradually coming through the doors.

Fans will be delighted to see Everton in a much better financial position this summer under the ownership of The Friedkin Group.

Everton have now secured Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich. This will come as a huge boost for David Moyes, who has been pushing for more additions.

Although the 62-year-old wants a considerable number of signings on Merseyside, he will be pleased to be keeping his top players.

That cannot be said at other clubs in the Premier League, with Newcastle United potentially set to lose Alexander Isak.

As the Sweden international remains linked with an exit, Simon Jordan has name-dropped Everton when slamming what he’s heard from some Newcastle fans.

Simon Jordan name-drops Everton in Alexander Isak rant

In recent months, Jordan has actually praised the Friedkins at Everton following their takeover back in December.

One fan base the former Crystal Palace owner has not always got along with is Newcastle, and he’s issued a fresh rant towards the Magpies.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Jordan has suggested Liverpool are looking to do to Newcastle with Isak what they did to Everton with Anthony Gordon.

“I don’t agree with bleating around some of the Newcastle fan base that this [Isak to Liverpool] is unfair,” said Jordan.

“Because it’s no more unfair than when you raided Everton for Anthony Gordon when Everton were in financial difficulty. It’s the nature of the beast.”

Since his departure, Everton have mocked Gordon on social media on the back of their two meetings in the 2024/25 campaign.

After years of offloading their top players for financial reasons, Everton will be pleased to see another club in the middle of an unwanted transfer saga.

Everton will be hoping to build without selling their top players

The Friedkins are insistent on building Everton’s squad this summer with considerable money made available to spend.

It is believed Everton have a £100m transfer budget this summer, but just as important as bringing in players is keeping the top talent on Merseyside.

Iliman Ndiaye has been a huge hit at Everton and has quickly become a fan favourite.

The last thing Everton need is to lose a player of his quality at a time when they are attempting to develop under the Friedkins.
