Everton’s search to improve their attack has taken another twist in the transfer market.

David Moyes is now preparing for his first pre-season game in the United States, where the Toffees will face AFC Bournemouth.

Thierno Barry should be available to make his debut for Everton against the Cherries after joining up with his new teammates this week.

But Moyes is wanting to see more signings at Everton, with this summer promising to be a summer of change for the club.

It has certainly got off to a steady start on Merseyside, but the Friedkins have handed Everton £100m to spend.

With significant improvements needing to be made, there is one player who Everton have now learnt will not be joining them this summer.

Everton miss out on winger Samuel Lino

Moyes is hoping to sign a new winger this summer after months of demands to the Everton recruitment team.

Interest from Everton had been shown in Samuel Lino, but it looks as if the winger is now set to move elsewhere.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Lino is now set to join the Brazilian side Flamengo.

It is believed Everton were ready to make a move for the Atletico Madrid forward, but the Brazilian is set to return to his homeland.

A £21m total agreement between Atletico and Flamengo has now been struck, and the player is now set to undergo his medical.

Another player Everton can tick off their list, but Paul Joyce has claimed Everton hold an interest in Tyler Dibling.

There are plenty of other options out there for the Blues, but they are certainly taking their time to find the right player for the club.

Everton must select the right option for David Moyes

Last season, Moyes was left underwhelmed by Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom, who did not offer much from out wide.

The two wingers provided a combined one goal in the Premier League.

So, although the wait for a new forward signing may be getting a bit frustrating, it is important that Everton get the decision right.

Fans would surely rather wait for the right signing to be made rather than seeing the wrong signing made quickly.

It looks as if Everton’s transfer business could go right down to the final hours of the window.
