TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan has hit out at Everton fans on the back of their disappointing Carabao Cup loss to Wolves.
Following a promising start to the 2025/26 campaign, the last week has been bitterly disappointing for Everton fans.
David Moyes made plenty of changes on Tuesday night despite the Toffees not being in action again until Monday.
Heading into the game at Molineux, James Tarkowski said Everton are prioritising cup competitions this season.
Clubs like Everton saw Crystal Palace and Newcastle United end their own trophy droughts last season, which will have provided some real encouragement.
However, that did not seem to be the case on Tuesday against Wolves, with Jordan now hitting out at some Everton fans in the wake of the loss.

Simon Jordan slams Everton fans after Wolves defeat
Sam Allardyce recently shut down Jordan for his Everton prediction over Jack Grealish’s fit on Merseyside.
But this has not stopped the pundit from lashing out at Everton fans following the defeat against a struggling Wolves.
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Jordan has slammed Everton fans for their frustrations over Moyes’ team selection on Tuesday.
“There must be a reason why David [Moyes] felt a need to rotate the side. There must be a reason why he’s prioritising an outcome that stays further down the line,” said Jordan.
“He’s not a fool. He’s not a manager that doesn’t know his way around the game. He’s managed 1000 games, most of them in the Premier League. So, he knows his way around.
“Everton have been in managed decline for five years, maybe people should just pack it in and let the manager make decisions.”
One Sky Sports journalist said that Jack Grealish changed the game for Everton against Wolves after he came on in the second half.
And that is pretty telling that the options Moyes went for were unable to return his faith in them throughout the game at Molineux.

Everton should have gone strong from the start against Wolves
There is some truth in what Jordan has said about certain Everton players.
“You just bought Tyler Dibling for £40m from Southampton, who is meant to be a £100m footballer, you’ve got all the boys who came on anyway,” added Jordan.
Everton fans were pleased with Tyler Dibling’s full debut, and Jordan is right in the sense that Moyes should be able to trust these types of players.
However, there was no reason for Moyes to make huge changes to the side when Everton fans were hoping for a cup run.
Other teams have shown it this week in going strong from the start, getting the job done and then taking off the top players.
Of course, had Moyes done that and an injury was suffered, then the conversation would be different.
But Everton are now left putting all their eggs in the FA Cup as their only hope of silverware and it is not even October yet.
