Everton were dumped out of the Carabao Cup in frustrating fashion against Wolves on Tuesday evening.
David Moyes saw his team selection come under some serious scrutiny, with the Blues handing Wolves an unlikely victory.
Having made so many changes from the Everton side that played on Saturday, Alan Myers criticised Moyes’ team selection at Molineux.
The travelling fans did not deserve the display which was put on for them against a side which has tallied up zero points in the Premier League this season.
After coming on in the second half, Jack Grealish was praised for his display against Wolves, highlighting Moyes’ bizarre decision to bench him.
However, there were other frustrations coming from the game, with James Garner left annoyed with one key decision on the night.

James Garner left furious with referee decision in Wolves vs Everton
Moyes praised Garner for his showing against Wolves after the Englishman made a return to the midfield.
Everton were furious with Darren England during the Merseyside Derby, and there were even more frustrations following the game against Wolves.
Speaking to the Everton website after the game, Garner admitted he felt Wolves’ second goal should not have stood.
“Their second goal was a foul on me. He’s literally stood on my kneecap,” he said.
“I’m not going to go down that easy, but the referee’s mentioned something about it. We were chasing the game and then they go and get the second, so it is tough.
“The fact we were so on top in the second half, and like I said, we could have nicked a goal or nicked two goals, gone on to the next round, but I think it all started from the first half.
“We’ve got to put this under the carpet as fast as we can because, like I said, tonight we weren’t quite at the races.
“I’m more than certain that we’re going to be there on Monday night against West Ham and put on a good performance and ultimately come away with three points.”
Everton have been left upset with the referee numerous times this season; even going back to the very first game of the season at Leeds United.
Ultimately, Everton were not good enough on Tuesday, which led to Moyes seeing his team selection heavily criticised.
Everton have themselves to blame for Wolves loss
Clearly, the referees have made some controversial decisions against Everton in the opening month of the new campaign.
But the club need to take full responsibility for the result against Wolves at Molineux.
Everton fans were pleased with Tyler Dibling’s full debut, but the players who did start the game did not do enough to test one of the struggling sides in the Premier League.
Wolves also made changes and they instantly looked the better side from the off.
