Everton have a number of former managers potentially on the move this summer.

Marco Silva is expected to leave Fulham after a very successful five-year spell in West London.

Silva is close to becoming the new Benfica manager, with Jose Mourinho departing for Real Madrid.

There is also a chance that Frank Lampard joins a new club, as the Coventry City boss is wanted by Crystal Palace.

Now, another former Everton manager is being tipped to potentially join Championship promotion hopefuls Southampton.

Southampton could appoint former Everton boss Sean Dyche

According to Sportsboom, Sean Dyche is being sounded out to potentially replace Tonda Eckert.

Despite Southampton publicly backing Eckert, he could still be banned by the FA after the Spygate scandal.

So, the Saints have made informal approaches to Dyche, who is reportedly on ‘standby’ to join the club.

If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰

Dyche has been out of work since being sacked by Nottingham Forest in February and has been mooted for the Palace job.

There was even talk that Dyche could join Tottenham when they were in the heat of their relegation battle prior to Roberto De Zerbi coming in.

So, it seems his stock remains pretty high, and evidently the Southampton owners view him as the perfect candidate to steady the ship and return them back to the top flight.

The 54-year-old has two promotions on his CV with Burnley, coming in the 2013/14 and 2015/16 campaigns.

There’s no word on when Southampton will find out the FA’s final decision on Eckert.
