Everton are looking to strengthen their squad this summer – and Taty Castellanos is a fresh transfer link.
David Moyes and The Friedkin Group are facing a big couple of months, after Everton finished the 2025/26 season so poorly.
The seven-game run to end the last campaign left fans very disgruntled, and they now want to see a big response.
Are there any players from the relegated clubs you want to see Everton go after this summer? 🤔
Wolves, Burnley and West Ham have all lost their Premier League status…
It’s thought that Everton’s order to pay Burnley £35 million compensation in relation to the previous PSR breach won’t affect the Toffees’ budget this summer.
That’s good news, and Everton must now press ahead with the market about to officially open.
Hayden Hackney is the name on everyone’s lips at the moment, with Everton seemingly dithering over that deal.
But Taty Castellanos is also on the club’s radar, which is probably going to please James Garner.
James Garner would surely welcome Everton moving for Taty Castellanos

Castellanos is apparently an option for Everton, who are in the market for a new striker this summer.
While Beto and Thierno Barry scored 17 Premier League goals between them, both were criticised by fans at various times in the campaign.
Castellanos only joined West Ham in January and ultimately couldn’t help them stay up.
So now his future is in doubt, with several teams looking to snap him up after an impressive half-season at London Stadium.
Everton are keen, and it would be no surprise if James Garner was hoping to see a deal come to fruition.

One of Castellanos’ best traits is his aerial ability.
Previously, former New York City FC head coach Nick Cushing said of Castellanos (via The Athletic): “What impressed me most is the power he is able to generate on headers. This is what he would’ve worked on after training to give him an advantage in the long run. His physicality and aggression makes him a hard striker to play against.”
Three of Castellanos’ seven goals for West Ham were headers, and he’s scored 23 headed goals during his club career so far.
As we know, Garner delivers an excellent set-piece. And as per official Premier League statistics, he also came second for successful open play crosses at Everton last term (18).
Garner also played 10 through balls for teammates in the Premier League last season.
Everton need a transfer budget of at least _________ this summer
Fill in the blank…
Castellanos – who Nuno Espirito Santo has rated highly – may be a physical aerial threat, but he also likes to run in behind, and we know Garner has the capability to slot the striker in from deep.
It’ll be interesting to see if Everton do consider making a move.
Several West Ham players are thought to be on Everton’s radar after their relegation, and Castellanos, while not prolific, could be a decent addition depending on the fee.
