Everton are set to take on League One side Peterborough United on Thursday night in the FA Cup.
Sean Dyche will be looking to get his first win of the new year on the board having suffered a run of poor form in the Premier League.
The eyes of the new owners will be on the Toffees as The Friedkin Group are assessing Dyche’s position at the club.
However, the game may not even go ahead on Thursday night.
It is starting to become a regular occurrence for Everton, but their game in the cup is now coming under late threat from the weather.
Just hours out from kick-off, there has been a major update to emerge from Merseyside.

Everton vs Peterborough United postponement latest
According to BBC Sport journalist Giulia Bould, there is set to be a late health and safety meeting held at 1pm.
‘Everton say a safety meeting involving the Club & relevant authorities will be be held at 1pm to assess the weather/travel conditions for tonight’s FA Cup fixture against Peterborough United,’ she said.
‘At this stage the match is planned to go ahead as normal.’
Snow has hit the country over the last few days and naturally has caused chaos across the roads.
This update comes around a month after the Merseyside Derby was postponed due to Storm Darragh.
And it seems as if Everton fans are set to learn the fate of their FA Cup clash just hours ahead of the expected kick-off.
Everton fared well following Merseyside Derby postponement
Although results of late have been rather poor, the Toffees bounced back from their extended break well after the Merseyside Derby’s postponement.
Draws against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all followed their extra few days of rest.

However, seeing Thursday night’s game against Peterborough postponed could cause a considerable headache for the Toffees.
The next round of the FA Cup is being played in early February which would not leave a lot of time for the game to rearranged.
