Everton are not in a good situation, and pressure is mounting on manager Sean Dyche.
Dyche oversaw another defeat in the Premier League on Saturday, this time against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
David Brooks scored the only goal of the game, but it was a comfortable day’s work for the Cherries, with Everton not managing to have a single shot on target.
Dyche angered Everton fans as he played down recent results after the game, and patience is now wearing very thin for the supporters.
The Friedkin Group initially backed Dyche, but it could be that they are forced to make a decision soon, with things looking bleak.
Dyche admitted after the defeat to Nottingham Forest that the players didn’t do what he asked, causing further concern for fans.
But it’s clear sacking Dyche is something TFG would preferably avoid, especially given one new claim that’s been made.
The Friedkin Group trying to avoid ‘game-by-game assessment of Dyche’s reign’

It’s been reported by TEAMtalk that The Friedkin Group are ‘trying not to get sucked in to game-by-game assessment of Dyche’s reign just yet’.
It was claimed yesterday that The Friedkin Group are hoping to name a new CEO soon, and are also looking to sort Kevin Thelwell’s future.
So seemingly, there are more pressing matters for the new owners.
But Everton are in woeful form, and are really struggling in the final third – so Dyche is a man under pressure.
But it’s also stated that TFG ‘view his record at the Toffees as competent in very difficult circumstances’.
As things currently stand, there are no plans for any ‘D-Day type talks’ over Dyche’s future.
Defeat against Peterborough should see TFG sack Dyche
For many now, Dyche has overstayed his welcome at Goodison Park.
He has done a good job up to a point at Everton, keeping the club in the Premier League for the last two seasons.
But it’s been a terrible season in 2024/25, and the run of results and performances have been alarming.

Some feel he should already have gone. But seemingly he does retain the support of the new owners.
But if Everton lose in the FA Cup to Peterborough this weekend, then that will surely give TFG a major decision to make.
Things will potentially get toxic if that happens, and TFG simply must have someone lined up just in case. Realistically, they should have someone lined up regardless of what happens on Thursday.
