Everton supporters will want to see The Friedkin Group spend big this summer after how the 2025/26 season ended.
In a season that provided a number of highs, there were still plenty of lows for Everton that could be improved over the summer window.
David Moyes is desperate to sign new full-backs at Everton during the transfer market, with both quality and quantity required to bolster the squad.
If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰
It is claimed Everton hold an interest in Sporting CP right-back Georgios Vagiannidis, who may well be another bargain buy for The Friedkin Group.

Everton make Georgios Vagiannidis enquiry
Everton have held an interest in Vagiannidis for around 12 months now, having previously considered the defender last summer.
A report from A Bola in Portugal now claims the Toffees are back in the hunt to sign the 24-year-old in the upcoming summer window.
The Blues are not alone in their interest, with La Liga side Villarreal also keen to sign the Greek right-back.
That was a disgraceful performance from Everton… something has to change! 😤
Vagiannidis is expected to leave Sporting over the coming months having struggled to secure game time in the Portuguese capital.
He is only valued at €10m (£8.5m) by the Portuguese outfit.
| 2025/26 (Liga Portugal) | Total |
| Appearances | 22 |
| Starts | 11 |
| Goals | 0 |
| Assists | 4 |
Having only made 11 starts in the Portuguese top flight, Vagiannidis is unlikely to be a name that will excite supporters on Merseyside.
Everton shopping in the bargain section once again
Since the end of the season, Everton have shown an interest in Kieran Trippier, which is another name that fans may not want to hear.
Right-back has arguably been Everton’s biggest weakness over the last 18 months since Moyes returned to the club.
For Everton to be targeting a player like Vagiannidis at around £8.5m, who has played as second-choice at Sporting, simply will not cut it with the supporters.
Whilst accepting Everton’s position, there has to be some ambition shown from those high up at the club this summer.
Everton ended their season in a dreadful manner and adding names that may not even improve the starting XI will not be accepted for much longer on Merseyside.
