Everton were able to keep their unbeaten run in the Premier League going with a seven-game spell now under their belt.
There has been a lot of improvement shown by the Toffees since David Moyes was appointed in January.
Wednesday night’s trip to the capital was, however, a testing one, with Everton leaving it fairly late to get themselves on the scoresheet.
Everton were left furious with VAR in their draw against Manchester United which saw them extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to six games.
The Toffees were able to extend that run, but it did not come easily.
Moyes cast a frustrated figure in the away dugout at stages of the game before Jake O’Brien was able to salvage a point for the visitors.

David Moyes left frustrated with Jack Harrison’s crossing
Jack Harrison’s future at Everton remains uncertain and it is performances like Wednesday night which suggest why.
It has been a season to forget for the Leeds United loanee and one of his corner kicks fell well short of the expectations his manager has.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Sue Smith shared the frustration being shown by the 61-year-old Everton manager after one of Harrison’s corners.
“You can see from Moyes’ reaction he wasn’t happy at all!” she said.
Smith was not the only person to notice Moyes’ reaction with one journalist sat in the press box also picking up on the moment.
‘Moyes with his head in his hands. Beto just can’t reach O’Brien’s header across goal after Harrison’s cross. Big chance if he connects,’ they said.
With the game now in the books, Everton will jet off for a warm-weather training camp in the United Arab Emirates with over a week until their next game.
Moyes will just be thankful the positive mood around the club has not taken a blow ahead of their week break.

Jake O’Brien puts a smile on David Moyes’ face
It did not take long after for O’Brien to put a smile on Moyes’ face with a stunning header at the back post to level things up.
The Irish giant was able to get down low and cannon home a header after floating in from right-back.
O’Brien has been lauded for his recent Everton form after being handed an opportunity under Moyes.
Sean Dyche must be wondering why he never trusted O’Brien as the defender goes from strength to strength in the right-back position.
Recently, O’Brien has slammed Dyche for not playing him and just days later he has his first goal for Everton.
