Everton are looking to secure a quick appointment as their successor for Sean Dyche on Merseyside.

Dyche has now been out of the door for over 24 hours after the decision was made by The Friedkin Group on Thursday.

Everton talks have taken place with David Moyes in the wake of the sacking as the new owners at Goodison eye an instant appointment.

Time is not on the side of the Blues with Everton struggling in the Premier League, despite their win on Thursday night in the FA Cup.

There is also the transfer window to consider as The Friedkin Group look to make two signings on top of finding their next manager.

Everton talks progressing with David Moyes

Alan Shearer expects Everton to hand Moyes some new signings this month, if he is to return to Merseyside.

According to The Guardian, Moyes held further talks with Everton this afternoon and it is believed the negotiations have advanced.

With the Friedkins looking to secure themselves a quick appointment, it is expected a full agreement could be reached in the coming 24 hours.

Moyes is expected to be handed a two-year deal at Everton with the Scotsman set to become the manager to see in the new stadium.

Everton are in desperate need of a quick turnaround with just a matter of days until their next game, which is against Aston Villa on Wednesday.

The Toffees will be hoping for a new manager bounce as they sit so dangerously close to the bottom three.

It will have to be a quick turnaround if Moyes is going to get his message across to the players before Wednesday’s game at Goodison.

Fortunately, Moyes will be familiar with Finch Farm having spent so many years on Merseyside, but he will have a huge challenge on his hands.

Adding to the issues, Everton have now seen Armando Broja suffer another injury issue as their options up top become extremely limited.

Moyes will barely have time to unpack with Everton then facing Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend after Villa.
