Everton are already nearing a decision to find their next manager after sacking Sean Dyche.

It has been a busy day for Everton who have not only sacked their manager but have also played in the third round of the FA Cup.

Dyche now finds his spell on Merseyside at an end following a poor start to the season which has the Blues slumped at the foot end of the table.

The Friedkins met with Dyche to discuss the recent results and, clearly, what they heard from the 53-year-old did not go down well.

And it now appears Everton may have their man to replace Dyche in the dugout at Goodison Park.

Everton could appoint David Moyes by the weekend

Everton News has been informed David Moyes is The Friedkin Group’s choice to come in for the remainder of the campaign.

And Everton reporter Alan Myers has now claimed the former Everton boss, Moyes, could even be appointed by the weekend.

‘David Moyes has held discussions with The Friedkin Group and could make a return to Everton as early as this weekend,’ he said on X.

Moyes could bring in Lee Carsley as his assistant manager with the former Everton player also out of work after leaving the England setup.

The 61-year-old has been out of work since the summer after leaving West Ham and will be all too aware of the demands at Goodison.

The Friedkin Group have acted fast to replace Sean Dyche

There has been no hanging around by The Friedkin Group with it looking like Dyche’s replacement is already set to be sealed.

Graham Potter was a target for Everton, but he was appointed as the West Ham manager on Thursday morning.

Having missed out on Potter, the Friedkins seem to have stepped up their search to replace Dyche with out-of-work managers clearly on their radar.

With no game on the weekend, Moyes could now come in and establish himself back at Finch Farm with a number of days to work with his players.
