The summer transfer window will really start to heat up as we head into July.

Many clubs don’t do much business until the new financial year starts after June 30th, and Everton seem to be in that camp.

The Toffees are expected to be very busy ahead of the 2026/27 season, as David Moyes’ side aim to return to Europe after a nine-year absence.

With that said, based on the current transfer rumours coming out of Finch Farm, here are the three most likely signings as it stands.

Hayden Hackney – Middlesbrough

Everton have made two bids for Hayden Hackney, with the most recent offer believed to be in the region of £15m.

Middlesbrough rejected both offers, but an agreement should be found as Hackney is keen to join Moyes’ side.

The Championship Player of the Season is valued at around £25m.

How would you feel about Hayden Hackney becoming Everton’s first signing? 🤩

John Stones – Manchester City

John Stones is due to leave Manchester City upon the expiry of his contract this month, and Everton are well-placed to re-sign him.

In fact, it has been reported that the Toffees are in advanced talks to sign Stones on a free transfer, although it may not be completed until after the World Cup.

The 32-year-old is currently away with England in the States.

Jarrod Bowen – West Ham United

Following West Ham United’s relegation to the Championship, there is an expectation that Jarrod Bowen will depart.

Bowen has reportedly told Moyes that he would ‘seriously consider’ joining if the Merseysiders launched a bid.

Moyes wants Everton to make a £20m bid for Bowen, however, the Hammers have set a lofty price tag of £50m.

Perhaps a bid worth around £35m could be accepted a bit later on in the window when West Ham need the finances to strengthen themselves.
