Beto is actually heading into the final year of his contract on Merseyside.
As it stands, the towering striker is set to become a free agent in 2027, so this is the final chance for the Toffees to cash in for a decent fee.
It’s understood that Everton were demanding bids of around £17m to sell Beto during the January transfer window.
If they can get Forest to pay in and around that fee, then it’d be a smart business move to sanction his sale.

Of course, David Moyes would need a replacement to come in first; otherwise, the Toffees would be starting the season with just one senior striker at the club (Barry).
Moyes is a big admirer of Liam Delap and tried to sign the England under-21 international last year before he joined Chelsea.
It wouldn’t at all be surprising if Delap comes in as Beto’s replacement – if indeed the transfer to Forest materialises.
The 23-year-old endured a tough season in West London, netting just three goals, but remains of interest to the Merseysiders.
