Everton are exploring a number of deals in the transfer market at the moment.

Everton have already had bids rejected for Hayden Hackney, who was the Championship Player of the Season last term.

The Toffees are also considering a move to sign Lois Openda from Serie A giants Juventus.

Now, it’s being reported that David Moyes and his chiefs are targeting an England player who Thomas Tuchel is a huge admirer of.

Thomas Tuchel loves Everton target Djed Spence

It’s now emerged that Everton have added Djed Spence to their transfer shortlist as Moyes looks to sign a replacement for the departing Seamus Coleman.

Despite improving dramatically over the last year or so, Spence played more of a rotational role at the back end of last season under Roberto De Zerbi.

Even still, Tuchel decided to call the 25-year-old up to his England squad for the World Cup and he featured in the 4-2 win against Croatia.

Interestingly, Tuchel previously said the Everton target is the ‘fastest player’ in the Three Lions squad.

“He loves defending, he’s the fastest player in our squad, and he loves defending one-on-ones,” the German boss stated.

“That’s what makes him a special full-back for us. He can play both sides.”

After watching him for England vs Croatia, I’m convinced he’d be the perfect right-back signing this summer! 🔥

That should certainly encourage Everton to launch a bid for the Tottenham Hotspur star, who is extremely versatile.

It remains to be seen how much Spurs demand to sanction his sale, but it has been reported that Juventus were told to pay around £34m to land his signature.

That’d be a large portion of Everton’s transfer budget, so they may look at alternative targets, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Raoul Bellanova also on the shortlist.
