The free agent market should always be utilised where possible.
Many of the top clubs have enjoyed success in this market, with the likes of Aston Villa signing Youri Tielemans and Boubacar Kamara, both of whom are key fixtures in Unai Emery’s midfield.
Everton, with the attraction of the new stadium and the Friedkin Group’s ambitions, should be able to convince a much higher-level free agent to join this summer.
The Friedkin’s are desperate to return the Toffees to Europe, so they’ll be a much more attractive proposition for potential targets.
With that said, here are three free agents Everton should consider, including one of the most prolific strikers on the planet.

Three free agents Everton should consider this summer
Angel Gomes
Angel Gomes’ contract expires at Lille at the end of the season and there are a number of Premier League clubs queuing up for his signature.
It’s understood Everton are lining up a contract for Gomes, as they look to beat Tottenham Hotspur to the England international.
The 24-year-old would provide Everton with a different profile in the midfield, as he’d be the metronome, dictating the tempo of games.
Josh Brownhill
Josh Brownhill netted a whopping 18 goals from midfield this season, helping Burnley gain promotion to the Premier League.
Brownhill was named in the Championship Team of the Season and as such, West Ham United and Celtic are among the clubs showing an interest.
Everton are also keeping tabs on Brownhill’s situation, with Moyes keen to recruit from the Championship this summer.
Jonathan David
Remarkably, Jonathan David, who’s netted 25 goals this term, is entering the final few weeks of his contract before he’s officially a free agent.
There is plenty of interest in David, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea all circling, but Everton could be well-placed to land his signature.
Everton are long-term admirers of David and can assure him regular football, unlike the other big hitters, so Merseyside may be a more attractive destination for the Canada international.
Moyes was even trying to sign the Lille frontman during his West Ham United days, so he’ll be well aware of just how big a fan the Scotsman is.
That will surely give the Toffees a little upper hand over their rivals.
