‘Totally bizarre’… Everton fans spot something at the new stadium that makes no sense

The Bramley-Moore Dock stadium is looking better and better from the outside as more images emerge, but some Everton fans have been confused by one particular thing on the inside.

We already know that the Friedkin Group are taking a big interest in the new stadium, having listed it as the main reason they’re interested in buying Everton.

Of course, a new stadium has its benefits as a business owner, with the revenue if the Toffees can stay in the Premier League being absolutely massive.

Tottenham Hotspur is the perfect example of how a new stadium can benefit a club. They’ve more than earned their money’s worth from lending the stadium to the NFL and other events.

Everton’s new stadium is slowly getting there with the laying of the pitch coming most recently, ahead of a grand opening at some point in 2025.

Strange seating arrangement spotted at Everton’s new stadium

The Friedkin Group have already been tipped to expand the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium once they move into it in 2025.

However, a couple of things have raised the eyebrows of fans, including the tunnel walk, which seems to take an age for the players to get to the tunnel.

Now, another strange sighting has been brought to the attention of fans on Twitter, as @PED7 has spotted a section of seats in the south stand that he can’t quite figure out the reasoning behind.

It appears to be some kind of standing area, possibly for cameras or something along those lines, but many fans debated it online.

Everton fans react to the image of the new stadium

These Everton fans, when speaking on X, all tried to guess what it could be, with many different suggestions.

“Wouldn’t be shocked if it’s for “atmosphere leaders” like across Europe. Someone with drums and all that jazz. A lot of Bundesliga stadiums have similar spots scattered throughout home ends.”, @BlueSkipOpinion said.

@rather__golf even made a joke about VAR: “They are for the VAR cameras to ensure that the correct angle is filmed to rule the Everton player offside.”

@Oween99 stated: “Hopefully that person doesn’t wanna sit down. Worst designed stadium icl.”

@jokwink mentioned: “If they are permanent, somebody is getting an obscured view.”

“No way it’s for cameras, must be something to do with pitch. Maybe setting up sensors?”, @dixiescousin reckons it has something to do with the pitch.

@toffeeblue76 commented: “You can get another 8 seats in there. Looks ridiculous. The North Stand layout also looks daft. Little sections here and there. It just doesn’t seem right.”
