The full extent of Everton’s refereeing frustrations has now been shared for all to see.
Everton ended the 2025/26 campaign with no win in their final seven games, with many fans feeling the officials played their part in that run of form.
By no means were David Moyes’ side playing at their best, but there were a number of refereeing decisions that went against Everton during the run-in.
That was a disgraceful performance from Everton… something has to change! 😤
The Premier League KMI panel have supported Everton against VAR decisions at times this season, with the scale of the injustice now fully revealed.

The true scale of Everton’s VAR injustice revealed
In a report from BBC Sports’ football issues reporter Dale Johnson, it has been revealed that Everton were the only side in the Premier League not to get a VAR decision in their favour.
Everton had five VAR decisions go against them over the course of the 2025/26 campaign, which was more than any other club.
This will not shock many on Merseyside, but seeing it in black and white does make it even more frustrating.

Moyes has slammed the PGMOL for their refereeing errors throughout the course of the campaign.
“It’s always rubbish you get back. You never get anything good back,” Moyes replied when asked what the PGMOL have said in response to their errors.

There is some irony in PGMOL accepting blame for some of their decisions against Everton this season, with potential rule changes to be discussed ahead of the 2026/27 term.

Although many will feel it would be the right decision, seeing the rules changed on that incident would be a real low blow after City went unpunished at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton finished bottom of the net goals table as a result of VAR decisions, with the Blues four goals in the red due to the usage of the technology.
