Everton have put together back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

David Moyes has picked up six points from a possible nine since returning to Goodison Park and his side now reside well clear of the relegation zone.

Everton are seven points above 18th-placed Wolves and they have a game in hand, so they’re certainly in the driving seat.

They play host to Leicester City this weekend and have the opportunity to really pull themselves out of the relegation picture.

Though, they will be without the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Orel Mangala, leaving them a little light in key areas.

Ahead of the crunch clash on Merseyside, Wayne Rooney and Roy Keane have predicted the score.

Wayne Rooney and Roy Keane predict Everton vs Leicester

Speaking on the Stick To Football podcast, Rooney and Keane were both very confident of an Everton win this weekend.

Keane said: “Everton 2-0.”

Rooney added: “3-0.”

Gary Neville agreed with his former teammates and was torn between 3-1 and 3-0 to Moyes’ side, so quite clearly, they’re anticipating a pretty comfortable afternoon on Merseyside.

Though, Leicester are coming off the back of an impressive 2-1 away win at Tottenham Hotspur, so they will be heading into the game with a lot more confidence.

Everton vs Leicester record

Interestingly, Everton have actually won just one of their last six games against The Foxes, with many of their encounters ending in draws.

DateScoreline

1st May 2023Leicester 2-2 Everton

8th May 2022Leicester 1-2 Everton
20th April 2022Everton 1-1 Leicester

Their last win came towards the end of the 2021/22 season, when they were fighting to avoid relegation under Frank Lampard.

The reverse fixture earlier this season ended in a draw, which has become a common theme in recent times.

Though, with the wind in their sails, Everton will indeed be hoping and expecting to get the three points this time around.
