The Premier League is almost here for another season, and Everton’s ambition needs to be shown.
So far in the transfer window, this hasn’t been the case, as only Thierno Barry’s £27m arrival comes with excitement.
There is hope that after Douglas Luiz missing training that the midfielder follows the Frenchman.
These are the kind of signings Everton need anyway, as David Moyes won’t accept another campaign of disappointment.
So far, the fortunes don’t appear good on the pitch, and the Premier League aren’t exactly helping matters off it.

The Merseyside Derby stands out here, but there have been a few changes to the actual times of these games.
Fans are already furious with the fixtures, so to add to their dismay, the Liverpool game will be moved to a 12:30pm kick-off, but this isn’t why fans are annoyed.
Instead, it’s the West Ham home game being moved to a Monday night, as after having Leeds United already as the opener on a Monday night, it’s certainly not a fan favourite.
Evertonians flocked over to X to express their outrage with the decision.
@nismoneil bluntly said: “We aren’t going to get many Saturday 3pm KO, are we.”
Another added: “2 Monday nights before October?”
“The game I’m going to is on Monday night. Why man?” a disappointed @ParrettGost said.
@SoundDave1981 claimed: “We haven’t even kicked off the season, and you’re allowing the telly to dictate stuff.”
@gsyblue said: “Guess I’m no longer going to the West Ham game.”
“These Monday nights need binning,” @HitchEFC said.

Everton are so underprepared for the new Premier League season
The fixture changes are honestly the least of Everton fans’ worries at the moment.
A lack of signings this late into July is such a disappointment, no doubt, as The Friedkin Group are surely expecting the next few to come like London buses.
It’s looking likely that it could be another late August job for Moyes, and he will be the person most unhappy with this.
Moyes has had conversations with Angus Kinnear to seemingly sort out the lack of movement in the window, so as far as fixture changes go, it isn’t too bad compared to the starting lineup that could be presented at the start of the season.
