It’s been a concerning start for David Moyes and Everton in pre-season.

Everton are hoping their pre-season takes a turn for the better after two underwhelming performances against sides they really should have beaten.

The signings have been slow for the Toffees, and Moyes will be demanding answers after it seems to be affecting their performances.

Of course, pre-season is never anything to get worried about, but Nathan Patterson was poor vs Blackburn, which says a lot.

Now, what Moyes was seen doing after full-time should explain what comes next for Everton.

What David Moyes was spotted doing after Everton defeat

Despite the 1-0 defeat to the Championship outfit, there were positives to come out of the game.

Harrison Armstrong impressed as he looks to weave his way into Everton’s plan this summer, which was accompanied by an excellent Mark Travers save on his debut.

But the negatives certainly outweighed the positives, and that came from Everton’s quite poor defending for the only goal of the game.

Concerns will be raised around the club after only three signings, and the results aren’t exactly showing that more aren’t needed, as it could be a case of six players coming through the door.

This might have been relayed to CEO Angus Kinnear, who was seen having a ‘long chat’ with Moyes.

The Liverpool Echo spotted Kinnear having a lengthy conversation with Moyes in the tunnel entrance after the players had finished their warm down, and it no doubt involved talk about new players arriving quickly.

It’s obvious what Moyes said to Kinnear as Everton shortlist appears

It might have been a conversation that was needed, as Moyes was no doubt furious with the performance.

Despite a pre-season loss, the standards need to be set in time for the Premier League, and there have been no signs of improvement.

Following the conversation though, Moyes labelled a right winger as ‘top’ priority, as there was little to no creativity in the encounter at Ewood Park.

The Everton boss could have demanded action from The Friedkin Group, as cracks are beginning to appear with the season not even in full flow.

With it being made clear that £100m is available to Everton, supporters will soon reach the end of their tether this summer if changes aren’t made.
