Everton fans aren’t the only ones suffering right now, as West Ham are also in a state of bother, and the two happen to play each other this weekend.
West Ham got the better of Everton when these two sides met earlier on this year, as two injury time goals sealed a 3-1 win at Goodison Park.
However, in the first fixture between the two of the 2023/2024 season, the Toffees secured all three points, thanks to a goal by Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Now, both sides head into this one off the back of disappointing defeats and plenty of pressure being piled on from both fan bases, which should make for an entertaining game.
It’ll be interesting to see what Sean Dyche does with his selection at centre-back, as the Everton boss has come under fire for not starting Jarrad Branthwaite of late.
But, it’s West Ham who have been suggested a potential replacement for Julen Lopetegui, and it happens to be a former Everton boss.

Frank Lampard backed to replace Julen Lopetegui at West Ham
Frank Lampard didn’t exactly have a memorable time of things at Everton, managing to win just 12 of his 44 games in charge, which equaled out to a disappointing one point per game on average.
West Ham may be on the lookout if what journalists around the club are saying is true, with Julen Lopetegui possibly heading for the sack if he doesn’t get a positive result.

Now, when Speaking on talkSPORT with Ally McCoist (5 November, 7:57am), Jeff Stelling has suggested that West Ham look at appointing former Everton boss Frank Lampard.
“I’m going to mention someone who might divide opinions, but is it time – if Lopetegui goes – for West Ham to bring Frank Lampard home? It’s just a thought.”
Everton supposedly have manager targets of their own
The Friedkin Group’s takeover is progressing nicely, and there looks to be a timeline of a matter of weeks possibly, with the end of November to mid-December being highlighted for completion.
Sean Dyche’s future is something that has already been discussed, with no view to having him in charge when the new stadium is ready.
Maurizio Sarri was being considered as the new boss by the Friedkin Group in October, but that has gone quiet after Everton’s form picked up.
Graham Potter was also linked lightly at the end of September, as is the case with most free-agent managers when situations develop at clubs, but nothing is concrete.
