Everton are set to face West Ham at the London Stadium up next in the Premier League, with the clash having an added importance for one man in particular.
Everton and West Ham find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation when it comes to their managers, with both sets of fans growing frustrated with what’s gone on.
The Toffees suffered an embarrassing defeat against Southampton at St Mary’s, whilst the Hammers were beaten 3-0 away from home by Nottingham Forest.
Sean Dyche received some stick after the game for his decision-making, which was justified as leaving Jarrad Branthwaite out baffled just about everyone.
However, it’s not Dyche who is currently under pressure right now, as a journalist has claimed that Julen Lopetegui’s job could be under threat.

Julen Lopetegui ultimatum suggested ahead of West Ham vs Everton
West Ham are currently two points and two places above Everton in the Premier League table, yet their current situation is made out to be far worse than the Toffees.
Julen Lopetegui’s side were embarrassed at the City Ground last time out, which wasn’t helped by the fact that Edson Alvarez was sent off on the stroke of half-time.
Regardless, the performance clearly hasn’t impressed the board at West Ham United, as there now appears to be an ultimatum in place.
Interestingly, West Ham journalist Roshane Thomas (as per Hammers News) has claimed that Lopetegui could be sacked should he ‘fail to produce a convincing performance’.
What’s Sean Dyche’s current managerial situation?
Well, Sean Dyche isn’t in the best of positions either with Everton fans calling for him to be sacked.
The Friedkin Group don’t see Dyche as their long-term successor in the new stadium, so this is very much just a season where avoiding relegation is seen as the objective.
This isn’t what Everton fans really want to hear in the present, as the performances in the last two games have been dire and lack ambition in any sense.
Whilst the Toffees are four points above the drop zone, there’s a risk they could fall into trouble if things go the way they are under the Englishman.
