Everton are in for a busy few days in the transfer window.

It has been a positive past couple of weeks at the club with David Moyes securing back-to-back wins for the Toffees against Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton.

But there is a lot of work to be done by The Friedkin Group and Kevin Thelwell in the coming days.

Everton have been tipped by Alan Myers to make two new signings, but given new injury problems, it could be that the club make more than that.

Currently, Moyes has a real issue with availability of strikers.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin picked up an injury against Brighton and before that, Armando Broja got injured against Peterborough United just before Moyes’ arrival.

Today, an update has been offered about the Albania international.

According to The Athletic, Everton are still in talks with Chelsea about Armando Broja being recalled.

Last week, Alan Myers reported Broja was set to stay at Everton and with Chelsea unwilling to take him back.

Everton are still attempting to send the player back, but ‘no significant steps’ has yet been taken.

But Everton officials are looking to do something savvy in a bid to resolve the issue.

It is suggested that Everton are interested in three players from Chelsea at the moment – Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Apparently, Everton are seeing about potentially swapping Broja for one of these players on loan instead.

In theory, the club would then look to sign a new striker from another club to provide cover.

Everton need Chelsea cooperation over Broja

Everton could really do with Chelsea taking Broja back because the injury is fairly serious. He has damaged ankle ligaments and could be out for up to three months.

The Toffees can’t just be carrying an injured loanee for that amount of time.

It does not help their cause and the club must endeavour to strike an agreement with Chelsea in the coming days.

It would be great if the club could get one of the aforementioned players in, and then Evan Ferguson of Brighton is also of interest to Everton. One of those Chelsea players plus Ferguson would have the picture looking a lot brighter.
