Everton and West Ham United have been alerted to a fresh Evan Ferguson update out of Brighton & Hove Albion.

There is a pressing demand for Everton to rush into the market in the final week and sign a new striker.

David Moyes had to watch on as his options up top were struck yet again over the weekend with another fresh injury issue.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin suffered a hamstring injury against Brighton & Hove Albion which is of real concern.

Injuries elsewhere have left Moyes with just Beto to choose from as a senior option up front.

But in recent hours there has been an update on the future of Brighton talent Ferguson.

Brighton approve Evan Ferguson exit with Everton and West Ham interested

It has been suggested Ferguson would reject a move to Tottenham Hotspur over fears he would not play more frequently than he would at Brighton.

But there has also been questions as to whether Brighton would even approve a potential exit this month.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Seagulls are now ready to look at Ferguson’s possible suitors.

Ferguson is keen on a potential Everton loan but the Toffees have some competition to fend off.

West Ham United are also keen on the 20-year-old striker as they also aim to bolster their attacking options this week.

Brighton had concerns over loaning Ferguson out before the last week of the window with winter injuries plaguing clubs across the league.

But as they near the final days without any further major injury issues, it seems Fabian Hurzeler is not set to approve the youngster’s exit.

Everton must go all out for Evan Ferguson

The extent of Calvert-Lewin’s injury has not yet been revealed, but it does not look good.

Beto has been pushing for an Everton exit this month with interest coming in from Serie A over a potential return to Italy.

However, Moyes is now needing to depend on the 26-year-old striker as he has no other options.

If Beto was to go down through injury, that would potentially undo all of the hard work which has gone in to drag Everton away from the relegation battle under Moyes.
