Farhad Moshiri did many things wrong at Everton, and selling Antonee Robinson to Wigan Athletic in 2019 was definitely one of them.
Moshiri’s tenure at Goodison Park was a terrible time for Everton fans.
The Friedkin Group have come in and refreshed the club, as David Moyes is certainly the right man for Everton.
But the old ownership’s failures are still affecting the Toffees today as transfer decisions were Moshiri’s biggest flaw.
Moshiri refused to sign Chris Wood at Everton and decided to sell Robinson for £2m in 2019, arguably two of the most in-form players in the Premier League at this current moment.
What he did next with Robinson though, will shock you.

What Farhad Moshiri tried to do with Antonee Robinson at Everton
Robinson came through the Everton academy but was supposedly not deemed good enough in 2019 after being sold to Wigan.
How they were so wrong, as the left-back shined with the Latics, gaining a move to Fulham, where he is now Cottagers captain and the second-highest assister in the Premier League this season.
The old ownership’s decision to sell the 27-year-old only gets worse as Robinson is now worth £40m with Man City interested.
However, Moshiri had the chance to re-sign Robinson from Wigan, but in true Moshiri fashion, he messed it up, in a shocking manner.
Speaking to The Ben Foster podcast, Fozcast, Robinson spoke on the options he had on the table before returning to Fulham and it doesn’t bode well for Everton.
“Everton were trying to buy me back to sell me straight away basically,” Robinson said.
“I wasn’t having that – it felt a bit wrong.”

Antonee Robinson learned his trade off Duncan Ferguson at Everton
You’re probably wondering how Moshiri got it so wrong with Robinson at Everton, and to make matters worse, they have a fan favourite to thank for his incredible form at the moment.
Duncan Ferguson dreams of succeeding Moyes at Everton as he hopes for a sensational return to the Toffees, and Ferguson would certainly help with transfers after he evolved Robinson into the player he is today.
People will want to know how Robinson turned into a creative machine at Fulham, well that is all down to ‘Big Dunc’ and former Everton midfielder, Kevin Sheedy, as the full-back claimed on the podcast he was told it’s his ‘strength’.
“When I signed for Everton in the academy I was a winger coming through,” Robinson said.
“One of the lads got injured and they said you’re left-footed so play there (left-back).
“I just want to play – So I just stuck there.
“Our U18s managers at the time were Ferguson and Sheedy – they were really good.
“They said it was my strength to keep bombing on down the left.”
Ferguson was an admirer of Robinson, but Everton fans have Moshiri to blame for his failed return.
