Merlin Rohl says Seamus Coleman is one of the best trainers he’s ever seen

Speaking to Everton’s website, Rohl heaped praise on Coleman and revealed that he’s one of the best trainers he’s ever seen.

“He’s had a great impact on me,” the German midfielder stated

“From the first minute, I think we had a really nice connection. He believed in me as a football player and as a person.

“I really admire him for his attitude and for everything he gives for the club. I try to see him as my idol and take everything I can see from him and get the real hard work onto the pitch for the club.

“That’s every training day too; he’s one of the best trainers I’ve ever seen. That’s why he’s been here so long and why he’s such a big figure.”

What would you say to Angus Kinnear after THAT loss to Sunderland? 😤

Wayne Rooney has also had some really kind words for Coleman, labelling him a club legend but an even better person.

Tim Howard is another former Toffees star who’s paid tribute to Coleman, evincing what a terrific impact he had on the dressing room spanning years and years.

The 37-year-old will be sorely missed, but there is an offer for him to remain at Finch Farm as part of the coaching staff.

Coleman is expected to make his decision on his next move after his summer holiday.
