Everton fans now have an anxious wait for the takeover to be completed, and it now looks as if Dan Friedkin is putting most of his eggs into the right basket.
Given the recent result against Southampton, fans need a bit of a pick me up and positive takeover news is the perfect remedy.
Everton lost for the first time since mid-September against Southampton, but to fans it felt like the end of the world due to the manner of the defeat and the performance.
Sean Dyche’s future is now officially under scrutiny after it came out last night that Sergio Conceicao is being eyed as a progressive replacement for him.
And in even more good news, it’s been claimed that Dan Friedkin has some moves up his sleeves that will have a positive effect on Everton moving forward.

What sources close to Dan Friedkin are saying about his plans for Everton
This could allow time for appropriate targets to be signed in the January transfer window, with plans already in place about other things at Everton.
Interestingly, it seems as if the Friedkin Group are set to put most of their eggs in the basket of Everton, as a reporter recently made an interesting claim.
Speaking on talkSPORT (5 November, 11:23am), Italian reporter Daniele Fisichella has claimed that sources closest to Dan Friedkin have said they might be interested in selling the 30 per cent of Roma to other investors to have more capital to invest in Everton.
“I understand that everything is going to plan, but being a huge operation – around £600million if I’m correct – the sale of Everton is going to take a bit of time.
“Friedkin’s net worth has increased in this year according to Forbes – and sources closest to him said they might be interested in selling the 30 per cent of Roma to other investors.
“(This) will give them obviously extra capital to invest in Everton, but also a full commitment to the Premier League club.
“Probably after the investment they will want a total reset, so things will probably change drastically and dramatically in the near future – perhaps even linking with a new manager.”
Everton’s worries put to one side
With Graham Potter and Maurizio Sarri being linked to Roma recently, Everton fans may have been worried about a conflict of interest involving the two clubs.
Interestingly, the Friedkin Group supposedly wanted Sarri for Everton earlier on this year, and were even eyeing up a first signing for him.
Meanwhile, Graham Potter was also being eyed back in September as a potential replacement for Sean Dyche, though that didn’t end up happening.
Luckily for Everton, it appears as if the attention will be diverted all onto the Premier League club.
