Everton were able to put their disappointing defeat against Southampton behind them with a point on the road.
Sean Dyche’s side came up against another struggling side in West Ham United with their manager also in desperate need of some positive results.
It has been a tricky start to the season for Everton which has seen Dyche come under serious criticism from sections of the fanbase.

The Toffees have managed to keep themselves out of the bottom three since pulling themselves off the foot of the table.
But the pressure may be growing with The Friedkin Group eyeing potential Dyche replacements for Everton.
And their arrival on Merseyside could come extremely soon with some sources close to the takeover sharing an update.

When The Friedkin Group could takeover Everton
According to Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers, there is now a growing feeling that The Friedkin Group could be close to completing their takeover.
It has certainly been a long time coming for the Everton fans who have had to wait patiently as various interested parties have come and gone.
But there has been a big boost with The Friedkin Group now looking as if they could get the keys to Goodison Park ahead of the January transfer window.
“Looking like early December but it’s a moving situation so could be just before or just after that,” said Myers in the first of two tweets.
“Only what I hear, a lot of parts to this, most close to it expect early December,” he then added.
But Everton have been warned about The Friedkin Group with Italian media sharing their major concerns about the current state of AS Roma.
Everton need a productive January window
With 11 games now under their belt, there are some glaring issues for this Everton side going into the January transfer market.
Goals have been a major problem with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin only returning two across the entire season.
Calvert-Lewin has been caught offside more than any other player in the Premier League this season as his struggles continued over the weekend.
The Toffees have the third-worst record in the league for goals scored with just 10 netted in their opening 11 games.
| Team | Goals scored |
|---|---|
| Southampton | 7 |
| Crystal Palace | 8 |
| Everton | 10 |
| Ipswich | 12 |
With some seriously difficult games to come over the next month or so, Everton could well head into the January window with a really worrying record in front of goal.
