Everton have won just two of their opening 11 games so far this season.

Everton were held to a goalless draw against fellow strugglers West Ham United on the weekend and remain in 16th place heading into the international break with a tough run of fixtures to come.

Everton fans have called for Sean Dyche to be sacked as a number of his decisions are beginning to infuriate.

Supporters have called for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to be dropped but he’s continuing to select the out-of-form striker.

It’s understood that the Friedkin Group aren’t happy with the current situation at Goodison Park and now it’s just come to light that a European winning manager is a contender to replace Dyche.

David Moyes back in contention for Everton job

According to talkSPORT, former Everton manager David Moyes is a contender to replace the under-fire Dyche.

The report claims that Moyes is eyeing a return to the Premier League after being out of work since the summer.

He left West Ham United at the end of last season after guiding them to a respectable ninth-placed finish whilst progressing to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Leicester, Wolves, Crystal Palace and Southampton are also possible destinations for Moyes as their respective managers face uncertain futures.

Moyes has already received enquiries

Moyes revealed last month that he has already received enquiries from clubs and countries but is yet to make a decision on his next move.

Asked if he will make a managerial return, the 61-year-old said: “I don’t know yet, I don’t know.

“I’ve not made that decision yet and I don’t want to make that decision. I just want to see how it goes.

“I’ve had some really nice enquiries from clubs and countries as well at different times, but I’m just taking my time and we’ll see how it goes.”

Everton News exclusively revealed that The Friedkin Group are eyeing Moyes as Dyche’s successor until the end of the season but only if their Premier League status becomes in serious jeopardy.
