Everton are set to be taken over by the Friedkin Group before the new year.

Everton have been in limbo over the last few seasons with Farhad Moshiri looking to sell his majority stake in the football club.

That uncertainty has resulted in the club plummeting down the league and being involved in multiple relegation battles, with points even docked due to breaching Financial Fair Play regulations.

But finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel as Dan Friedkin is set to become Everton’s new owner ahead of the January transfer window.

Although, an Italian football expert has now warned fans to ‘beware’ of the new ownership after what they’ve done at Roma.

Everton fans should ‘beware’ of Friedkin Group after what they’ve done at Roma

Dan Friedkin, who also owns Serie A giants Roma, has recently sacked his second manager of the season.

That’s prompted Italian football expert Dougie Critchley to voice his concerns about the soon-to-be Everton owners.

Critchley explains that Friedkin has made a number of baffling decisions which has resulted in Roma languishing in the bottom half of the table, despite shelling out a fortune in the summer.

The journalist also voiced his worry about the strange consideration of appointing Frank Lampard to replace Ivan Juric.

Everton fans are already growing concerned about the Friedkin Group after hearing the fan displeasure in Italy’s capital.

So, they’ve certainly got a lot to prove to the fanbase when they’re installed as Everton’s new owners.

Friedkin Group have to get Everton’s next manager appointment right

Dyche is out of contract at the end of the season and could even depart before then anyway if results continue.

So evidently, the new owners will be tasked with finding his successor early on in their tenure and they simply have to get it right.

Everton fans would like Brentford’s Thomas Frank and some have suggested Stuttgart’s promising young manager Sebastian Hoeness.

Either way, whoever it may be, the new ownership group must learn from their mistakes at Roma and give the new manager time to implement his ideas.

Impatience seems to be their glaring weakness at the moment.
