Everton appear to be closer than ever to seeing their proposed takeover completed following a big twist over the weekend.
Matters on the pitch have not been as promising of late with Sean Dyche‘s side sat rock bottom of the Premier League table.
The Toffees are still in search of their first win of the season with their sixth game of the Premier League campaign coming up this weekend against Crystal Palace.
Dyche remains under pressure from the Everton fans following the bleak start to the season and it seems that’s not the only pressure he is facing.
With the prospect of a new ownership on the horizon, Dyche’s time as the Everton boss could hit serious pressure.

When Everton’s takeover could be completed
Dan Friedkin has now returned to the table with his Everton takeover bid following serious interest in the club from John Textor.
This comes months after Friedkin pulled out of the running after entering exclusive talks with Farhad Moshiri.
However, the AS Roma owner is now looking to get the deal for the Toffees over the line as he aims to beat Textor to the keys for Goodison.

A statement has now been made by law firm BCL Plaw on Friedkin’s bid for Everton suggesting it could be completed in the latter stages of the year or even in the early parts of 2025.
To which BBC Sport reporter Giulia Bould, took to X to share her thoughts on the matter.
“BCL Plaw statement on the #EFC sale. They say they advised Rights & Media Funding Limited & The Friedkin Group. It calls this the first stage of completion,” she said.
“The final sale is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 or early 2025″ Good sign they see no issues with approval.”
“The timeframe given was similar to that of United. Which was 7 weeks. 8 weeks is towards end of Nov. Many anticipate around then,” she added.
Dan Friedkin will want to be in before January transfer window
There is no doubt Everton find themselves in a really concerning position in the Premier League following the opening five games of the season.
Of course, there is plenty of time for their fortunes to turn around with 33 games remaining.
However, the January transfer window is surely already being eyed as a huge opportunity for Everton to make a big push for Premier League survival.
The Toffees seemed to work well in the summer window with some new faces coming through the doors.
But the need for further reinforcement looks apparent as Everton struggle to pick up points in the league.
