It’s been a whirlwind couple of months for Everton on the transfer front as Sean Dyche looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Jesper Lindstrom is the latest name to arrive at Goodison Park, and the Dane has shed light on Sean Dyche’s role in his move from Napoli.

A defender is reportedly next on the agenda for the Toffees. Jarrad Branthwaite’s future is still somewhat uncertain, which has seen links to Lyon’s Jake O’Brien emerge.

Furthermore, according to HITC, Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also a target.

And now, the ever-dependable Alan Myers has shared the latest.

The 26-year-old’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain as he enters the final year of his contract.

With Diogo Dalot ahead of him in the pecking order, the chances of a summer departure have reportedly increased.

Furthermore, per HITC’s report, Erik Ten Hag is also targeting a new right-back, which could see the former Crystal Palace man deemed surplus to requirements.

Myers, however, has now shared the latest on Everton’s interest in the full-back who was signed for £50million back in 2019.

In an X conversation on Friday, the Sky Sports journalist claimed Everton are looking to bolster defensive reinforcements but are not actively looking to sign Wan-Bissaka.

Everton should avoid Aaron Wan-Bissaka move

Given Everton’s prior transfer history, this feels like a move the club should avoid.

Too often, the Toffees have signed players who have been underperforming, and Wan-Bissaka falls into that category.

The 26-year-old started just 20 games last season and was used sparingly by Ten Hag.

Furthermore, if Everton did want to bring him to Goodison Park, a substantial transfer fee and wage package would be required.

There are far shrewder options for Sean Dyche to consider as he continues his summer recruitment.
