Everton drew 1-1 with Wolves – and Michael Keane’s red card was the big talking point of the match.
The Toffees fell short against the Premier League’s bottom side, in what was a deeply frustrating result after the loss to Brentford.
Everton took the lead through Keane, and put in a good showing in the first-half.
Sum that up for us… 😡
Cannot believe how that second half panned out!
The midfield was particularly good, and Wolves barely threatened.
But the second-half was extremely poor from Everton, who allowed Wolves to get back in the game with Mateus Mane equalising after a through ball by Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Then there was the game’s big controversy, with Keane getting sent off for what was deemed to be a hair pull on Tolu Arokodare.
David Moyes spoke about the incident after the game – and it’s clear with whom he was most frustrated with.
David Moyes irked by VAR over Michael Keane red card vs Wolves

The Keane red card is something that will likely split opinion.
Leon Osman had sympathy for Keane, but plenty of others feel he should have been sent off.
Hair pulling isn’t allowed, but some don’t feel Keane’s actions constituted violent conduct, and that he didn’t even mean to pull the hair.
David Moyes was enraged over the decision, and expressed his frustration with VAR in particular after the game.
He said (via Sky Sports): “It’s not violent. It’s not forceful and not deliberate, so it shouldn’t have been a red card.
Who takes the Man of the Match for you? 😬
“If everybody grew their hair a bit longer, there’s a chance you’d get your hair pulled, it was a ridiculous decision, especially by VAR.”
The VAR for the game was Chris Kavanagh, who felt referee Thomas Kirk needed to go to the pitchside monitor.
Keane red was harsh
It seemed harsh for Keane to get sent off against Wolves.
The defender was jostling for possession with Arokodare and while he did hold his hair, it wasn’t forceful as Moyes said.

James Tarkowski defended Keane after the game, insisting his fellow centre-back ‘is definitely not that type of person’.
Even Arokodare himself said he wasn’t even asking for a red card for Keane.
But Everton will now be without Keane for three games, unless the club managed to successfully appeal.
