Everton are set for a big spend this summer as the Friedkin Group are ready to back David Moyes.

The Friedkin’s are expected to invest heavily into the Everton squad after keeping their powder dry in the January window.

PSR issues are set to be a thing of the past once the financial year ends and the stadium move to Bramley-Moore Dock should ensure their finances are kept in good order for decades to come.

Moyes was only able to sign Carlos Alcaraz in the winter, so evidently there’s plenty of work still left to be done.

A striker is thought to be top of Moyes’ priorities whilst the centre of defence has also emerged as an area to strengthen in.

It recently came to light that Everton want to sign Joel Ordonez in a potential £40m deal and now a youth expert has issued an exciting prediction about the promising defender.

Joel Ordonez expected to leave Club Brugge for club in top five league

Joel Ordonez has only been in European football for 18 months but he’s already regarded as one of the best young defenders on the continent.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant season for Club Brugge and is attracting interest from Aston Villa as well as the Toffees.

Everton are reportedly ready to make a big offer for Ordonez, who is expected to leave Belgium for one of Europe’s top five leagues, according to youth expert Jacek Kulig.

Kulig has described Ordonez as ‘something remarkable’ and is convinced he’ll be plying his trade for one of the biggest clubs.

Ordonez could replace Jarrad Branthwaite

Jarrad Branthwaite has been linked with a move to Manchester United over the last 18 months or so and will once again be on their radar this summer.

If he is to leave in a big-money move to Old Trafford, Ordonez may well come in as his replacement, though, Everton will have to fend off stiff competition for his signature.

With Aston Villa expected to make Europe this term, whether that be the Champions League or Europa League, they will be the more attractive destination for the Ecuador international.

A telling window awaits the Toffees.
