Everton fans are yet to witness any incomings so far this winter, but a second outgoing could be looming.

Everton have already sold Harry Tyrer to Cardiff – who had spent 18 years with the Toffees having first arrived at Finch Farm in 2008.

Now, Beto could be set to leave the Hill Dickinson Stadium too as Fenerbahce lodge a bid for the Guinea-Bissau international.

Fenerbahce bid for Beto after Youssef En-Nesyri chooses Juventus over Everton

Reliable journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu – who can boast over two million followers on X (previously known as Twitter) – now claims that the Turkish giants have made an offer for Beto.

The respected Turkish journalist posted: “EXCLUSIVE | Fenerbahçe has made an official offer to Norberto Bercique Gomes Betuncal Beto, who wears the Everton jersey!”

It comes as Fenerbahce prepare to send Youssef En-Nesyri on loan to Juventus, a player Everton had actually tried to sign before the Morocco international rejected them, allegedly due to the miserable English weather.

Fenerbahce actually accepted a loan bid from Everton for the Africa Cup of Nations finalist, who they paid €20m (£17m) to sign from Sevilla in July 2024, but the 28-year-old himself turned down the Toffees in favour of Juventus.

As a result of that development, Fenerbahce now need a new striker, and have turned to Beto – who Everton spent £26m to sign from Udinese back in August 2023.

Sabuncuoğlu did not disclose the value of the bid, only stating that the Super Lig outfit have now put an official offer on the table for the 27-year-old.

Everton likely to accept Beto offer if the bid is a respectable one and replacement can be found

Alan Myers recently spoke to Everton News about Beto, and revealed that The Friedkin Group are likely to give genuine consideration to any bids for the African forward.

However, a sale may not happen before a replacement arrives first.

Myers said: “My guess would be that they would consider offers for him and a few others, but a replacement would be mandatory.”

Selling Beto without signing a new striker first would mean the 23-year-old Thierno Barry would be the only option available to Moyes, so it is imperative that Everton do not rush into a decision.
