Adam Aznou breaks his silence on his current situation at Everton

Adam Aznou has hardly been given a look-in at Everton since joining from Bayern Munich last summer.

When Everton announced the £8m acquisition of Adam Aznou, it was met with great fanfare as he really impressed in La Liga on loan at Real Valladolid last season.

Toffees supporters were really excited after seeing Aznou in pre-season but for whatever reason, the 19-year-old was made to wait until January to make his debut.

David Moyes has suggested Aznou needs to improve physically, but it still seems like a really harsh approach from the Scotsman.

That said, the Moroccan left-back has been speaking to Everton’s website about his current situation at the club.

Adam Aznou feels really happy at Everton

Despite playing just 34 minutes for Everton this term, Aznou feels really happy at the club and loves the family feel around Finch Farm.

“If there’s one thing that’s taken me by surprise, it’s how much of a family it feels like at Everton,” the 19 Toffees teenager explains.

“After leaving Barcelona, I was with Bayern Munich in Germany for three years but I didn’t feel so good. I think Germany and England are similar countries in many ways, with the weather and maybe a bit the culture, but I feel really good here.

“I really like how the team is with me, and how everyone – the staff, the manager, the fans – is with me.

“It feels like everyone is behind me and I’m really excited to be part of this journey. I know I need to keep working and keep showing I can help the team.”

Adam Aznou could finally get his big break in Jack Grealish’s absence

Jack Grealish has sustained a stress fracture to his foot and will be out for the next three months, so Aznou could get a chance in his absence.

Who would you play at left wing in place of the injured Jack Grealish? 🤔

The winger is reportedly facing THREE months out – do Everton need to sign a replacement?

The former Bayern Munich youngster played on the wing in the FA Cup game against Sunderland earlier this month and looked excellent.

Aznou was constantly looking to attack his man and deliver crosses. He even won a penalty after a mazy dribble.

So, it wouldn’t at all be surprising if Moyes deploys him in that role instead of Dwight McNeil.
