Everton’s issues did not stop after the full-time whistle in what was a dramatic 1-1 draw against Wolves on Wednesday evening.

David Moyes and his side were left deflated having ended the game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium with two men sent off.

There can be issues with Jack Grealish’s petulant sending off, but Everton were enraged over Michael Keane’s dismissal.

Everton have now won one of their last five games on home soil as their record at the new stadium has taken a real beating over recent weeks.

For the large part, the new stadium has been a big positive for Everton, but there are certainly some concerns arising as the form takes a dip.

Everton News columnist Alan Myers was at the game on the docks and he was far from impressed with what he saw after the full-time whistle.

Alan Myers unimpressed with Everton stadium concern

Going back to one of the first games of the season, Myers was frustrated with the Everton stadium transport links.

This has been a real issue for thousands of fans attending the games on Merseyside as they’ve struggled to get home in quick time after the final whistle.

However, this seems to have been unresolved, as on Wednesday evening, Myers took to social media to share his latest frustrations.

‘I’ve said it before, and I will keep saying it, whoever is in charge of the traffic management around the stadium needs to be paraded in front of the Liver Buildings for us all to boo!’ he said.

Liverpool City Council have tried to improve Hill Dickinson Stadium’s issues, but it is clear that a lot more work is needed to resolve them.

These issues would potentially not be emphasised to their true frustrations had the players got the result on the pitch.

It is a frustrating period for Everton and it only highlights the work still needed to make this squad capable of competing for Europe.

Everton frustrations need Friedkin intervention

The issues surrounding the stadium are ones which are likely only going to be resolved over long-term infrastructure changes.

In the short-term, the Friedkins should be pushing the club forward in the January transfer window.

New additions are needed to really bolster the quality of Moyes’ squad depth.

It has to be considered that when players do return from their respective injuries and international duty, Everton’s side will look considerably better.

However, the absences have highlighted how there are still some big holes in Moyes’ squad from what he inherited almost a full year ago.

The Friedkin Group are expected to back Everton this month, but action is needed sooner rather than later.
