Andy Burnham is not hiding his Everton colours throughout his by-election campaign.

The 56-year-old is a regular in attendance at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and has been supporting Everton home and away for decades.

Burnham has already urged Everton to sign Jack Grealish, but he has now taken a look at some of the previous greats to play for the Toffees.

How would you feel about Hayden Hackney becoming Everton’s first signing? 🤩

What better way for Burnham to share his knowledge of the club than by naming his best Everton five-a-side team.

Andy Burnham’s all-time Everton five-a-side team

Burnham has been keen to share his Everton support throughout his campaign and he’s continued to do so through his social media channels.

Taking to TikTok, Burnham named his dream five-a-side team, which consisted of four former Everton players and himself.

“It definitely involves me up front. Maybe Wayne Rooney, just off me. Peter Reid behind me,” he said.

If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰

“No other choice other than Neville Southall, the great Neville Southall in goal. Trevor Steven on the right.”

There are certainly some players named by Burnham who Everton would happily welcome back into their current squad.

Burnham has hailed Everton’s new stadium as the best in the Premier League, but it is evident that the current Everton side may be lacking some quality in his opinion.

A striker of Wayne Rooney’s calibre would be a huge boost for the Blues as the recruitment team consider their options in the market.

Everton have a solid option between the sticks currently, but Neville Southall admitted he does not rate Jordan Pickford like many others do.

Regardless, Burnham has certainly shown his Everton knowledge in his latest nod to the Toffees during his election campiagn.
