Everton’s takeover appears to be progressing with potential completion dates being floated around, but the number of people coming out to criticise the Friedkin Group are also increasing.

Sean Dyche won’t be too worried about the outside noise as the takeover rumbles on, as he’s handling business fantastically on the field at Everton.

Alan Myers came out and said that he predicts it will take 4-6 weeks for the takeover to be complete, whereas Mark Douglas believes it will be December.

Regardless, it will be a big relief for Farhad Moshiri to finally sell up at Everton after trying for what seems an age to find a potential buyer.

One man who won’t be too happy is John Textor, who looked like the likely new owner before he annoyed Farhad Moshiri and couldn’t sell his Crystal Palace shares in time.

However, the Friedkin Group come with their controversies, as another figure has spoken out about how he feels about them and the takeover.

Controversial figure warns Everton about the Friedkin Group

The Friedkin Group aren’t enjoying a very successful time of things over in Italy right now, as their decision to sack Daniele De Rossi hasn’t gone down well.

Ivan Juric replaced the former Roma midfielder, but he’s been even worse and the Italian club now find themselves in tenth position.

However, one thing that could get the fans and the people back on their side would be to re-appoint De Rossi, which is something Dan Friedkin is weighing up.

Regardless, one controversial figure in Italy has come out and slammed the potential new Everton owners.

According to Rai Radio1 (via Roma News), Italian politician Maurizio Gasparri has warned Everton about their new owners and told them to steer clear.

“I agree with yesterday’s judgment of the Curva Sud, who missed 15 minutes because they detest this Roma management.”

“I would have gone to the Curva to hold up the banner against these Friedkins who leave the sooner the better.

“They bought Everton, let them deal with that. I say this with great regret for the Everton fans who will find out who they are dealing with. Vox populi, vox dei”.

Gasparri is a controversial figure over in Italy.

Well, Gasparri called Elton John ‘vile’ in the past over his personal choices, as well as being regarded as sending some of the worst tweets ever, which we won’t share with you.

Plus, being behind introducing certain laws in Italy that not everyone agrees with, shall we say.

Warnings the Friedkin Group have already been sent at Everton

Every owner is no doubt going to have ticked someone off at some point, and things aren’t great at the moment on the field at AS Roma which certainly won’t help.

Claudio Ranieri wasn’t best pleased with the Friedkin Group’s decision to sack Daniele De Rossi earlier on this season, stating that he didn’t understand their thought process.

Radja Nainggolan also took offence to the same De Rossi decision, as well as adding some extra venom with a couple of negative comments on them being entrepreneurs and having little understanding.

Lazio owner Claudio Lotito had a sly dig at the AS Roma owners prior to their clash with Lazio recently, stating that he’s focused on one club rather than multiple amid the Everton takeover.
