With David Moyes keen on the Championship as a target point for the summer, he’ll be intrigued with one player’s message to Everton.

Everton’s safety in the Premier League looks secured for another season, as an exciting project under Moyes awaits.

After a brilliant start from the Scotsman, Everton would be 6th if Moyes started earlier, proving his clear impact around the club.

It’s been a welcomed return and only looks to get better with an exciting transfer window around the corner.

Moyes wants Championship signings, and what one target has said clearly indicates his future.

With Scott Parker providing a masterclass in the Championship this season, a lot of his players will be looked at, especially his defenders, after the lack of goals they’ve conceded.

Premier League clubs will be circling around his assets, and that’s exactly what Moyes is doing with Maxime Esteve.

The Frenchman has been an integral part of what Burnley has done this season, and Moyes has personally watched Esteve.

This comes after Everton have shown interest in ‘Rolls-Royce’ Esteve, and it’s clear he’s a key target for the upcoming transfer window.

However, what Esteve said in a pre-match press conference for the Clarets sends a clear message to the Toffees.

“I am a Burnley player, I love this club, and I’m very, very good here,” Esteve said.

“So I don’t think about nothing, nowhere, I just think about football in Burnley and finish the season very well. That’s the most important, finishing in the Premier League. That’s the objective. I just think about this.”

How Moyes can mastermind £30m deal for Esteve at Everton

It’s been made clear that Esteve is rated at £30m, but this could go up should Burnley achieve promotion.

However, Moyes can make a clear indication of how much he wants Esteve to convince the centre-back to the exciting project under The Friedkin Group, but it comes with a huge loss.

Esteve, who is 22, is the same age as Jarrad Branthwaite, and although there is a clear difference in ability, Branthwaite could leave Everton for Man United.

Although this would be a major loss, Esteve can see Moyes letting the Englishman go as a pathway into the squad, and also gain a large fee for Branthwaite along the way.

Judging by Esteve’s performances this campaign, he could be the perfect fit in Moyes’ regime.

With just 13 goals conceded and Moyes wanting defenders, it’s clear a sacrifice has to be made to push the club onwards.
