Everton are already making plans for the summer transfer window.

David Moyes will be given a healthy budget with the Friedkin Group desperate to return Everton to Europe in the coming seasons.

The Toffees’ move to Bramley-Moore Dock will be transformative for finances, so PSR issues will become a thing of the past, all being well.

Moyes wants to start a Championship recruitment initiative as he believes it’s home to a plethora of future Premier League superstars.

As such, Everton are keeping tabs on Burnley’s Maxime Esteve, whilst Sunderland teenager Chris Rigg is also being watched.

The Toffees are also eyeing an ambitious move for Liam Delap, who’s enjoyed a sensational debut campaign in the Premier League after sharpening his tools with Hull City last season.

And, there’s now been a development in their pursuit of the Ipswich Town frontman.

Chelsea join race to sign Liam Delap

Liam Delap is widely regarded as one of the best young strikers in the Premier League and has even been tipped to become Harry Kane’s England successor.

The 22-year-old has netted 12 goals league goals this season and will become available for just £30m if Ipswich suffer relegation.

Everton’s ambitious move for Delap may have already taken a blow, as Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has now reported that Chelsea are showing an interest.

Solhekol notes that Chelsea have a good relationship with the Ipswich hierarchy, which could give them an advantage in the race for the England under-21 international.

Everton may have to look elsewhere

Evidently, Delap’s signature will be highly sought after this summer, and already it feels as though Everton are falling behind in the queue.

So, it’s important the Friedkin’s don’t put all their eggs in one basket and it does appear they have a few striking targets.

The Toffees have been watching Rangers’ Hamza Igamane this season and even considered a move for him in January.

So he could become an option again, whilst Alan Myers would like Everton to sign Sheffield United’s Tyrese Campbell, son of the legendary Kevin.

Everton News understands the Toffees are also eyeing Emanuel Emegha, who has been one of the best players in Ligue 1 this term.
