Everton have four players at the World Cup this summer.
Nathan Patterson was in action for Scotland last night, and next up is Senegalese duo Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye.
Finally, Jordan Pickford will ply his trade for England next week, as Thomas Tuchel’s side take on Croatia in Dallas, Texas.
Which Everton player are you expecting to have the best World Cup? 🏆
Ahead of the clash, David James has been speaking about Pickford and made a bold claim about the Everton number one.

David James says Jordan Pickford is close to becoming England’s best ever
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, former England international David James said that Pickford is almost as good as the country’s best-ever goalkeeper, Gordon Banks.
“In terms of England goalkeepers, Jordan Pickford is kind of like 1.2 when it comes to England,” the 53-cap international said.
“Gordon Banks is still number one because he’s the only England goalkeeper with a World Cup winner’s medal.
“Jordan has come very close, having played in a couple of major finals, and he’s the only other England goalkeeper to have played in a major tournament final.
“So he’s right up there. What I love about Jordan is that he’s been fantastic for England throughout every tournament. The trust shown in him by, firstly. Gareth Southgate and now Thomas Tuchel says a lot.”
How would you feel about Hayden Hackney becoming Everton’s first signing? 🤩
Pickford, who has picked up 84 caps, is well on his way to making a century of appearances for the Three Lions.
That would put him in the same company as Peter Shilton, Wayne Rooney, Sir David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Harry Kane, Bobby Moore, Ashley Cole, Sir Bobby Charlton, Frank Lampard and Billy Wright.
