It’s been a slow start to proceedings for Everton in the transfer window but the second deal of the summer will soon be completed.
After The Friedkin Group promised an ambitious summer, there haven’t been too many signs of that thus far.
However, with Thierno Barry close to joining Everton, the hope is that players come in like London buses.
The 22-year-old’s arrival will show the intent Evertonians have been craving, but his potential £30m+ transfer fee could provide a dent in Everton’s £50-100m transfer budget.
But alongside the French striker joining, there could be a shock transfer in the works at Everton.

Jack Harrison could still return to Everton this summer
There seem to be many options on the table for David Moyes, but some deals could prove to be easier with a easy strategy.
This strategy bringing in players the manager has formerly worked with as Vladimir Coufal is a target for Everton.
But more recently, Jack Harrison had two successive loan spells from Leeds United as Everton could still sign Harrison.
Moyes has been impressed by Harrison, despite a lacklustre tenure with the Toffees.
| Jack Harrison’s Everton statistics in 24/25 | |
| Games played | 34 |
| Goal involvements | 1 (1G) |
| Dribble success % | 35.8% |
| Cross accuracy % | 23.7% |
| Duels won per 90 | 3.80 |
However, these numbers could be deemed enough as The Telegraph are suggesting that there is a ‘possibility’ that Harrison will return to the club after having two loan spells.
Adding to this, one player at the club could endorse a move.

Carlos Alcaraz could help endorse Harrison return to Everton
With a return causing plenty of debate, Everton fans are concerned Moyes wants Harrison back.
This is after the 28-year-old was fairly underwhelming, and his stats above don’t really back up his argument of deserving a spot in the Scotsman’s spot.
Nevertheless, Harrison has shown signs across the two years of what he can offer, and could prove to be a solid squad player.
A contributing factor could help endorse the winger’s return as well, with Carlos Alcaraz having a close bond with Harrison.
Alcaraz was recently spotted with Harrison, and the Argentine might have been in his ear over a potential permanent deal.
Leeds will no doubt be looking to sell this window, so if Moyes can get a justifiable fee, it might not be the worst decision in the world, especially after Everton’s lack of activity.
